Whether we like it or not, numbers play a very important role in our everyday lives.
We see them every day and everywhere we go. From the money that we budget, to the time on our wrist watch and smartphones, and even house numbers.
Numbers help us identify where most things stand, like street numbers, kilometer count, etc. And it’s not just that, numbers can also help us understand our place in the world, and many other important factors in our lives: our personality, our connections, etc.
In fact, numbers can also be used in order to predict our destiny and what lies ahead of us. This method is called Numerology.
How to Identify the World with Numbers
Numerology is the relationship between a number and the mystical nature of the individual and the world. It also covers the numerical value of our alphabet.
Numerology is a method of psychic reading – wherein a person who has extra sensory perception (ESP), gets information from the natural extensions of the human senses – sight, sound, touch, and instinct. These energies are not normally seen by people and are read by psychic readers.
History of Numerology
Numerology was first recorded in 1907. Greek Philosopher, Pythagoras, was hailed the father of numerology. He believed that the world was built on the power of numbers and that everything can be translated in numerical form.
Pythagoras has theorized that the letters in the alphabet have specific numerical values, this is called the Pythagorean Number System:
- 1 = A, J, S
- 2 = B, K, T
- 3 = C, L, U
- 4 = D, M, V
- 5 = E, N, W
- 6 = F, O, X
- 7 = G, P, Y
- 8 = H, Q, Z
- 9 = I, R
How Does Numerology Work?
In order for numerology to work for you, you must figure out the most important root numbers for you. And no, this is not what you claim to be your “lucky number”.
There are two types of root numbers commonly used in numerology. The Destiny number, and the Life Path Number. You can figure these out by yourself. All you need is a pen, paper, and a calculator.
The Life Path Number
The life path number is used for birth numerology. Similar to our astrological sun sign, the life path number reveals our purpose, including our strengths, weaknesses, our talents and ambitions. And this number is used to discover the tone of our experiences, and why events occur in the present and the future.
To calculate the life path number, you would need your birthday. You would need to reduce the numbers in your birthday to a single digit (excluding 11 and 22) get the root number.
For example, if your birth date is June 14, 1992. Here’s how you can get your root number.
June, is the sixth month, so 0+6 = 6
14 will be reduced by 1+ 4 = 5
And 1992 will be reduced to 1+9+9+2 = 21. Then 2+1 = 3
We will add all reduced numbers (6+5+3) and this will equal to 14. Then we’ll reduce it more (1+4), and we will end at 5.
So someone who was born on that day has 5 as his or her life path number.
The Destiny Number
The Destiny Number is used in name numerology. This will offer insights on how you will express your greater goals.
You can derive the root number of a name or a word using the Pythagoras Number System. You would need to reduce your full name – full, middle, and last – into a single digit. You can refer to the numerical values above.
So, if you’re name is JOHNNY SUH. Here’s how we compute your destiny number:
JOHNNY = (1+6+8+5+5+7) = 32
(3+2) = 5
SUH = (1+3+8) = 12
(1+2) = 3
This will result in a Destiny Number of 8 (5+3).
Now that you know what your numbers are, it’s time to dig in on what do these mean:
